Updates:

  • We are still in desperate need of a warehouse.  We currently have 6-9 containers, currently at A&B freight, loaded with playgrounds with no place to store them.  If you have a large warehouse, or know anyone who does, please contact me on my cell phone, 815-509-4542.  This warehouse would greatly help us meet the growing demands of our ministry.
  • We have a brand new tool container that will ship our tools all over the world.  We would like to offer the space on the container to advertise your business.  The spaces cost between $2500-$5000 Call me if you are interested.

This is a typical house in New Orleans.  The cleanup and rebuilding is going slower than anticipated.

Volunteers from Arizona, Texas, New Orleans and a group from a local youth probation clinic helped build a small playground at the Edgewater Baptist Church.  This playground will allow the church to establish a preschool/daycare center.

We are proud to announce the addition of two new staff members to our ever growing team.  David and Beth Headley will be joining our playground production team effective November 1.  David and Beth have been working with Samaratin's Purse since Katrina and have played an integral role in our success down there.  We are happy to now have them on our team.
Thanks to all of our volunteers who helped with this project.  We had helpers from Albany, Georgia and Calgary, Canada who helped us build two playgrounds, one was small for preschoolers and the other was for older kids.

Thanks to all the volunteers from New Orleans and Illinois who helped us complete a large playground build at First Baptist Church in New Orleans.

First Baptist has an attendance of 2,500 people. The church is also used by Franklin Avenue Baptist Church twice a month. Franklin Ave. Baptist has a congregation of over 5,000 people. This playground will be a blessing to many people for years to come!

We return back to New Orleans this Sunday for two playground builds located at Lake Vista United Methodist Church. One of the units is 3’ high for toddlers and the other is a regular unit for all children.

Dear Friends,

Much of our work in July and August is in the New Orleans area.

Thanks to volunteers from Kansas, Colorado and Illinois we completed a playground and had ministry in Slidell, LA. We were blessed with a great team! This project was a joint venture between Faith Bible Church, Kids’ and Samaritan’s Purse.

Our next project was the installation of rubber tile surfacing at 5 New Orleans Baptist Seminary playgrounds. The heat was grueling, but the team was faithful till the end and we finished all 5 projects!

We are currently building our first playground for ages 1-5 yrs. at a pre-school in Covington, Louisiana that will be finished by this Friday.

We are still looking for a 10,000 sq. ft. storage facility with a truck dock. If you know of any available space please contact me at jerryf@kidsaroundtheworld.com

Thank you for your time and consider joining us on one of our next builds.

Dear Friends,

The month of June we worked in our corner of the world with local builds. With the help of volunteers like you we built playgrounds at West View School and Patriots Gateway Community Center.  Special thanks to the Dickerson – Nieman Team for donating their time to the West View build. Milestone will also be constructed in Rockford and begin in a couple days.

After we finish our local builds the Kids’ teams will be in Louisiana for three weeks straight. This includes a playground installation in Slidell at Faith Bible Church, soft tile installation at 5 New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary playgrounds and a preschool in Covington. Please pray for safety and the ministry training that will take place in Slidell.

On another note we are looking for a 10,000 sq. ft storage facility with a truck dock. We are forecasted to build 25 playgrounds this year and need storage space. If you know of any space available please contact me at jerryf@kidsaroundtheworld.com

God Bless,
Jerry Flaming

Dear Friends,

Beslan, Russia
We just completed our 57th playground in Beslan, Russia. This build was a roller coaster of emotions for many of us. We toured the ruins of their middle school that was destroyed by terrorist killing 370 people and attended a local wedding all in the same day. The team of over 40 hard working volunteers made this build a success.  The rain at the dedication did not affect the turnout! Children played right through it all. Thanks for praying for us while we were away.

New Orleans
With the help of a Samaritan’s Purse Michigan volunteers, playground soft-tile surfacing was completed at the Manor playground in New Orleans. We’ll return to New Orleans in July and in the Fall if you’re interested in visiting the area.

Volunteers Needed
