Bob’s Park was the result of the vision of one man, a man known simply as “Bob”.  He dedicated much of his adult life to help those in need in the neighboring community of Belvidere.  After he tragically died in an accident while helping another neighbor, the Belvidere Park District picked up his cause and worked hard to bring about his dream of providing a safe park for the children in the under privileged section of the city.  We were impressed by the spirit of cooperation and service the families in this neighborhood displayed.  They not only provided such great help building the playground, they also supplied all of the meals for the volunteer laborers, as well as around the clock security the entire week of the project.  This project also included 2 separate units plus a large swing-set. It was an honor to be a part of this project, and we pray that God will indeed bless the children on Belvidere.
