We are excited about the opportunity we had to build a playground and train Sunday School teachers in Tecate, Mexico, just one hour from San Diego. The team came from SpringBrook Community Church in Huntley, IL as well as other volunteers from California, Mexico and Chile...Definitely an international team.
This playground was built in the middle of Encinos Park, the biggest park in Tecate. We worked very closely with the government as well as many of the pastors and churches there.
While we were there we also held flannelgraph training in the city with over 20 churches being represented. Jim Rosene lead the training which will surely have an incredible impact on this small border town. |
