A first for Kids Around the World! – Providing an indoor playground!  Honoring the life of someone you love who has been called to the side of the Lord became the motivation for the very first indoor playground that we have helped provide. 

There were 2 families from First Free Church of Rockford who experienced the death of a family member that chose to honor the memory and life of their loved ones by providing a playground.  This playground provides joy and laughter for the children who attend First Free. 

The family of 4 year old Kirsten Larson approached the church with the idea of giving a gift that would bring blessings to other children and families.  They agreed a playground was the perfect choice.  The church received another gift from the family of Kay Anderson and it was decided to use both gifts to make this playground a reality.  The equipment arrived and our staff and many volunteers came together to install this beautiful playground.  In a matter of a few days, a room once used for various teaching and playing activities for children, was transformed into a state-of-the-art playground center that will be used by the hundreds of children at First Free.

Kids Around the World would like to thank our many faithful volunteers for taking time to help provide this gift to the kids in Rockford!  We could not imagine trying to do all that God has given us without your faithful support!
