Can't believe how fast this week has gone by!
In all, we held 4 Gospel festivals this week - 3 in the villages of El Yalu, El Arado and Santa Marta, and the last here in Sumpango. What a treat to meet these dear kids! It never fails…though we came to minister to the children, we were blessing a hundred times over! The best part, of course, was witnessing more than 200 children in all pray to accept Christ as their Savior! God has been at work in amazing ways!
The puppet training went very well. In all, we had 45 people participate. They were so excited to have the opportunity to make their own puppets. Even with sore arms from all the practicing, they had a lot of fun and really caught the vision for using these puppets to reach children. It was with much joy (and a few tears) that we handed out their Certificates of Completion and said goodbye to these dear people.
The city of Sumpango is buzzing with activity as they prepare for the huge Kite Festival that will be held here tomorrow (Nov 1). (It is actually a pagan festival to celebrate the Day of the Dead, but the kites are fun to see.) All week, people have been shooting off fireworks in anticipation of the big celebration.
Though we can see God's fingerprints at work all around us, it is also obvious that Satan still has a strong foothold here.
