After nearly 1 year we returned to Tecate, Mexico for another training session.  We had heard reports after completing the flannelgraph training a year ago, that there were more people who wanted to be trained but had difficulty coming.  Because of that, we planned another training and we were going to add a “Training of Trainers” session.  It was exciting to have 30 people representing many different churches and ministries in the area.  In fact, one lady came from Tijuana!

On Saturday evening they all left, looking forward to sharing with the children of their churches a flannelgraph lesson with their new JESUS Film flannelgraph set!  We also had some time discussing with some of the local church leaders the possibility of constructing an outreach center on the playground site.  It was in August of 2008 that we built a large playground in the center of Tecate at the only park in this community of  nearly 200,000 people.  As we looked over the playground we realized the potential we had in impacting the lives of many children who do not attend any church, but they do come to the playground every day.  After church on Sunday, a group of 20 potential trainers came for a full day of advanced training.  Their desire is to partner with Kids Around the World and conduct other training sessions to churches and ministries, potentially reaching more children with the wonderful love and message of Jesus.  It was an evening filled with excitement and commitment for the children of Tecate!  Please pray for these teachers as they continue to the work in Baja, Mexico!
